Val's Little Haven is built on trust. Every member of our team meets strict screening and qualification requirements before caring for your children.

Working with Children Check

All sitters hold a current Western Australian Working with Children Check (WWCC), as required by the Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004. This is verified before any sitter begins work and monitored for renewal.

National Police Clearance

We recommend and encourage all team members to hold a current National Police Clearance. This provides an additional layer of assurance for families.

First Aid Certification

First aid certification (including CPR) is recommended for all sitters. We encourage certification through an accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and support team members in maintaining current qualifications.

Val brings twenty-three years of senior public service experience to childcare — patience, organisation, and discretion honed over decades of professional life. Every sitter is personally selected and mentored by Val.

Insurance

Val's Little Haven maintains appropriate public liability insurance for in-home childcare services.
